The Noise

I assume these birds are starlings because they were chirping away en-masse in the tree tops. The volume of sound they generate is quite something. Every so often a group of them would take off and move further along, sparking an wave of movement. They were camped on the far side of the woods high in the trees, so my view of them was partially obscured, but I think that adds to the chaotic scene.

I tried a few orientations before settling on a 2:1 ratio. I think this gives a sense of their number, although there were many more out of shot and more again out of view.
