Baldpate

I’m not a birder but took my bigger lens for a walk at the Urban Horticulture Center Wetlands… …..saw so many different ducks still around, (hard for me to remember what they are …. but for sure there were gadwell, ring-necked, merganzers, mallards, cormorants, goldeneyes, heron, white fronted geese, Canada geese… and some I couldn’t identify).  And I have to say that their markings are exquisite.  I do prefer something with some kind of action and liked the swallow bombing the coot (extra) but couldn’t catch them with a more interesting duck.   So I”ll go with this American Wigeon on nice water for now.
