Romance In the City

We had tickets to see the "Pictures Of New York" exhibition showing in the Perth Art Gallery today, we were up early and caught the train in, so much easier than driving and trying to find parking! it was an excellent exhibition without a doubt! ( Thank you sis & brother in law) right there in the art gallery was our first romance, photographs on every wall, some taken in a different era from 1920's all shot with primitive cameras compared to today, time captured for all eternity. Then newer photography 1980's to 2000 taken with zoom, panoramic and special affects lenses, one can only dream.
The second romance we had was walking through the city afterwards, something we have failed to do for a year or so as inevitably we are are both drawn to the tranquility of the Australian bush and small country towns at the weekends and any spare time we get, but today was different! There was romance all around us here not just the couple with their hug greeting above but the buildings in our city and the architecture old and the new, even the busker behind the couple hugging he sat playing his guitar, excellently i might add, one could say he was having a"love affair" with the music he played, he was certainly " in love" with his guitar!! The people walking or people just sitting in a coffee shop all seemed to have a love of the city, we definitely will not leave it so long to go back again, a day certainly was not enough to have a one night/day stand......
