FREEDOM!!!

or more appropriately, FREEZING!!!

This is the Wallace Monument in Stirling, built at the end of the 19th Century to celebrate William Wallace. As Callum is doing the battle of Stirling Bridge in history just now I decided to take him along. If you look closely you will see he has what we call in Oldham ' a bit of a gob on him.' This is because I refused to get on the shuttle bus up the hill and insisted we walk up instead. There are then 261 steps to the top of the monument (but a cracking view.) As a reward we went to Baxters on the way home for Panini's and massive pancakes.
