Stricken giant with blue sky

I saw this tragic tree this morning, once a mighty giant, now pointing desperately to the sky. Presumably one of the casualties of our recent storms.

The weather has been beautiful today. Once again, we had perfect conditions for parkrun, which I ran with my friend who is recovering from Covid. At least that kept the pace slightly slower and I wasn’t struggling to keep up with her as is the norm. She still managed to chat all the way round!  Afterwards we went for coffee and a scone to carry on with the chat.

This afternoon I spent more time tidying the garden and enjoying the sunshine and blue skies.
