Going fishing!
The birdsong in the garden this morning was overwhelming. Still in my pyjamas I wandered round the garden avoiding the subtle work of our canine sappers and was rewarded with a few shots, including the elusive blackbird, a few starlings, chaffinches, possibly wheatears, a heron and I missed the pair of cranes and a number of un-identified.
Returning upstairs I opened the new window, because I could, and just caught this formation passing over.
The snowy field of yesterday is now largely dark soil and a confused bee is buzzing round the rafters. It's a dark one, so it is probably the wild type from the forest.
