Sanctuary

We all need a sanctuary, and gardens have come into their own since the pandemic. 
 
Today has been spent working in ours. One of my favourite spots is a little sheltered corner under laurels which I call my mediation corner, except I  never get around to contemplating there.
 
I intended going into Edinburgh to see a friends exhibition, until I read in the morning paper that 1 in 14 people in Scotland have got Covid .
And the number of older people ending up in hospital with it is higher than at the peak of the pandemic. 
 No way was I taking a risk.
 Fortunately its been a beautiful Spring- like day so it was a pleasure to be working outside again.
