Snow Patrol

It's a band name. Here's the song I've been listening to endlessly lately The Lightning Strike. The lyrics have been capturing me. There are so many lines that resonate with me right now.

Today was effective. I got a lot done and I felt 100% better, back to myself. A lot less like the entire world was mercilessly crashing in on me... I have absolutely no tolerance for the victim mentality, so when I feel so affected by my circumstances, all is not well with my soul!

Tomorrow I will go an hour and a half early to the Visa office to try to be the first in line. Hopefully the fact that my last Visa expired July 17th of last year will not make them want to deport me. I guess it just depends.

Got everything in order with the old flat, now just dealing with the money part of it.

I feel like there are a hundred loose ends that I need to tie up before I go and all I want to do is see people, and talk to them and hear how they are.

Made a delicious dinner tonight, fed truffle pasta to a friend for the first time. I used truffle pasta, white truffle oil and a great parmesan with some sea salt. It was delicious. I love that you can make something that tastes so incredible and is so easy to prepare. The perfect combination.

And now I am trying to wind myself down and force myself to sleep. Not sure how easy it's going to be, my mind is racing tonight and that is never a good thing!
