The Tin Shed
The first stop on our little holiday was Lithgow. It’s the next town after Bathurst and as we were a bit held up leaving we were both wanting a coffee. We have been there before and liked it but it’s usually really busy and you can’t get a table. Today we were lucky and even grabbed a car park outside. It was a bit sad driving through the mountains which are recovering from those fires 2 years ago. Once down onto the coastal plain we could see the damage from the floods a few weeks ago.
We stopped for a late lunch at our daughter’s place and are soon heading to Julia’s place to stay the night. Julia is my niece and it’s always lovely to catch up with her. We fly to Adelaide tomorrow.
We have been trying to avoid Covid as we don’t want to succumb while we are away from home. Yesterday I popped into the neighbours to say we were going and they said “don’t open the door….we have Covid” that is a bit close to home and we did a Rapid test before leaving for peace of mind.
After all the dreadful weather in Sydney we have picked a good day, sunny, warm and not humid.
Extra shows Olivia’s new awards. Two first places in the Nationals for her team and the older aged team which she was in. So proud.
