Strange Little Flowers

No idea what these are, they look like little ailens or something! This came about thanks to the rotten Scottish weather again. I had planned to get the Macro lens off the D90 tonight and get out and about in the great outdoors, but as you'll see was forced into playing about inside again.

This was a one of a few little flowers I plucked out the garden and forced to pose on a very makeshift macro setup. D90 on the tripod, 2 6 packs of coke for a table, bit of white paper with a small hole in it to hold the flowers and all setup at the kitchen window so I could get the extreme DOF and under halogen lights.

It shouldn't have worked, but it did. This was one of a few taken in the same way tonight, the long exposure gave a really bright background nothing like whats outside the window! There's a few more from this experimenting on Flickr, different flowers and a bit of mucking about with flash.

Hoping for better weather tomorrow. Got a location in mind for a sunset so I can post something different for a change!
