Race Day
It was a cold night in the van and a 6am race start. We had the most stunning sunrise and blue skies and I took lots of photos to begin with, as the day went on I knuckled down and put the camera away. This one is from the Cheviots which is the highest point in the race. The path is lined with stone slabs as the hill is just a giant bog. I managed to land in a couple that were right up to my thighs, I struggled to get out of one! We had an incredible blood moon and sunset to end the night but the temperature dropped hugely and I had to break out all my layers and was still cold. It was a long day out but so well organised and a big bowl of piping hot soup at the end. What more can you ask for!
