Cowdray Ruins

I stopped to take some photos on my way home from seeing my Mum, today.
These ruins, in Midhurst, West Sussex are one of England's most important early Tudor houses. Both King Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth I visited.
In 1793 a fire virtually destroyed it but a restoration project  in 1909-14 helped to save it from total collapse.
