2022 Saturday — Last Day of Winter
We spent some of this day continuing to do the “spring clean” and clutter clearing. So late in the afternoon when Mr. Fun asked If we ought to go for a drive and find a good place to walk the pups, I was an immediate “Yes!”
Once we were in the car we decided that we’d stop for a bite to eat before we would return home; I was thrilled! Preparing dinner is most often a duty and on rare occasions a pleasure.
So we walked the pups, Chloe & Mitzi, in Tidelands Park along the back bay and soon we were getting a mist of rain and before our walk had concluded, the soft mist was transitioning into drops of water. Thankfully we were finishing our walk near the car. We were, though, delighted to be getting some precipitation.
Back in the car, the decision of where to eat was discussed. “DiStasios on the Bay” for the best Italian food in Morro Bay was our decision.
Later at home, we decided to watch “Horatio’s Drive” filmed and produced by Ken Burns. We have it on loan from the Cayucos Library. We had never heard of it until we saw it in the library collection. We thoroughly enjoyed the story — the first ever cross-country automobile trip — very interesting with quality photography. It was a piece of history we’ve never heard.
Good night from
California’s Central Coast,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
and Chloe & Mitzi too!
