Home for a Spider

There has been sunshine and wind, but no rain now for several days. The muddy paths in the local woods have dried out and the luxuriant new growth along the edges, and under the trees has been slowed in it’s tracks.
I find That the combination of the chill wind, the dry air and the hazy sunshine at this time of year can be a bit unsettling and encourage a hint of melancholy. Even a short walk though in the countryside can have an invigorating and beneficial effect. I did take some photos of the spring flowers on my walk, but have used for my blip  the detail from an old military fence post in the woods. It now seems to provide a home for a small spider of some sort, though it was remaining well-hidden today.
