Birthday card

Our day started very early with a phonecall from my brother saying Mum had dies very peacefully, we weren't really surprised after their report from yesterday's visit.
We did go back to sleep after a while and had a sad, but also good day. I've spoken to the family (children and siblings) and we all feel the same, a sadness for us but a relief for Mum knowing she is at peace and with her Lord. It was also very strange that the weather was very much the same as when Dad died almost 35 years ago, a beautiful spring day.
We couldn't just mope around the house so went to the garden centre where I spent the money Mum had sent for my birthday (some new soft fruit bushes, a primula and some kneelers) and had tea and cake.
After lunch I went out and cleared out some of the old fruit bushes from the fruit cage and got the new ones planted and then had a short run.

Oh, and the blip! A card I've just sewn for my sister's birthday. Mum used to commission ones from me and as she couldn't for this one I did it anyway.
