A splash of colour

One thing that is new to me is the abundance of Gorse bushes. When the sun shines they almost glow.
I spent time today going round the garden. I have always loved flowers but this garden seems to be mostly shrubs/trees.Everthing is still dormant or just coming into bud so it is going to be exciting to see what is actually there. I have identified some things including some blackcurrant bushes (or maybe redcurrant), Buddlia, a Magnolia tree and possibly a pear tree. It surprises me that there are no spring bulbs so that it one thing I will get sorted for next year. My policy at the moment is just to wait and see whats there before making plans but I am very impatient
