Folkie in Folkieland

To Liverpool today to see Folkiebooknerd who was as lovely as ever.

Cultural highlights included Robyn Woolston's 'Strangers in a Strange Land' at The Walker Art Gallery:

'New work created for the Walker by Robyn Woolston, winner of the 2012 Liverpool Art Prize. Woolston makes powerful sculptural interventions that comment on our collective experiences of aspects of society such as consumption, power and identity.

She often examines issues that others shy away from, from difficult emotions to consumer waste. In so doing, she seeks to make visible that which is forgotten, left behind and discarded. By raising questions that concern social, economic and ecological perspectives her work considers how connected we really are to the Earth's finite resources.'

And lunch, of course...
