Amandine's Plot Treize

Grass seedlings

The grass seeds I sowed around the new square beds at the back of the plot are taking a bit longer to grow as that area is shaded by my neighbour's polytunnel (great in the summer, less so at the start of the growing season) but the seedlings at the front are a lot more promising.

We've had heavy rains followed by sunshine and the weather hasn't been too extreme so far, which means ideal conditions for new grass.

It's going to be hard to stay off the paths for a lot longer but I'll need to give it the best chance and the beds already have crops that don't need much attention at the moment (garlic, strawberries and spinach), which means I can stay off the new grass at least until it's had first cut.
