Solidarity

A small but determined picket at West Cambridge today, talking to all comers, encouraging people to join the union, and to invite their colleagues too. Wonderful to be joined by representatives from FBU, NEU, and Unison Health. Tom from NEU spoke particularly eloquently about the need for unions to stand together and stand strong and not let our managers and the government blame the cost of living increases on war in Ukraine and claim they can do nothing. We see the RMT have shown today that bigger pay rises *are* possible, and necessary. Benefits need to rise too.

A really lovely day to be outdoors, though I fear I may have a few pink spots by bedtime from the sun. And glad I made it out today as Matthew has unfortunately been sick at after school club, so we'll have to be home for a couple of days.
