Not a Care
By the look of this couple. But of course who knows?
We had a day out in the little village of Beer, southwest of Axminster, today, with a passable lunch in the Anchor (Greene King pub with a homogeneous menu) where the beer tasted all the better for some weeks of abstinence.
It was a truly gorgeous day, with no crowds, and only a gentle breeze. We wished that more were wearing face coverings inside, but we spent most of the time outside.
We talked to a chap tending to his fishing boat, painting protective stuff on the wood of the gunwale; he turned out to be a lorry driver who was going to retire to the place as a fisherman, teaching and fishing. Of course he didn't live in Beer as the house prices were way too high, but he loved the place and was looking forward to his "retirement". Another fishing vessel in the Extra.
