Historic day for St Gervais

The first of the new trams for the Tramway de Mont Blanc arrived in town today to great fanfare. The three original trams from 1957 are being replaced, and a new one added. The three were named after three of the owner’s eight children - Marie, Jeanne and Anne. The updated Marie arrived today, and there was a great turn out to cheer as a massive lorry brought her to her new home. Marguerite will be joining her sisters later this spring.
