Common Cranes

We visited Slimbridge Wetlands Trust today and were lucky enough to get a really close view of the Common Cranes. Slimbridge has a Crane Project where they rear the chicks by hand and then release them into the wild. Based on the mating behaviour we witnessed today hopefully the crane population will soon be self sustaining.
