Old Friends

Today we met up with old friends we have not seen for a few years, in fact not since we left our home town. We met them for lunch near the harbour, and we had a lot to talk about, especially Bolton Wanderers, Bolton Wanderers Reserves, (colloquially known as ‘the stiffs’), Atherton Collieries FC , Atherton Laburnum Rovers, and Daisy Hill FC. They watch a lot of football, as did we. The football gene is very strong in the Bolton area, unlike here where rugby rules. Great to see them and talk about old times.
