Walking to Fareshare

A different route to the usual one, as I got a bus part of the way there. Walking along towards Old Market I was interested in this view. On the right is the church of St Philip and St Jacob, which was finished in  1174  (though not every part of it is as old as that). It used to be a parish church, but now it’s a Charismatic Evangelical church - one of the key aspects being that they won’t allow women to be priests. Boo.
On the left is the new 26 storey tower block called Castle Park View, which is the tallest building in Bristol now, having been completed in 2022. It’s mainly housing for rent, and some of it is supposed to be “affordable “.
Almost a 1000 year difference in their ages.
