Rick and Susie

This is an old photo (updated today) of our dear friends and former camphosts.  We met them about 15 years ago when they were hosting our favorite campground in Granby.  They retired 3 years ago, and we have since visited them at their home in Texas.  Rick has had health issues the past few years and it has been difficult for them, living in a tiny town far from any medical services.  Susie called today to let us know that they have moved to a senior independent living facility and they couldn't be happier.  They have a lovely apartment (she was quick to tell me that they still have a guest room) and the facility has many wonderful amenities, including 24/7 help if needed.  They're very social people and being so isolated during Covid has been hard on them.  I'm grateful that they are in a safer place now and much closer to their daughter.  It was great hearing Susie sounding so happy today and, since I can't get them off my mind, they needed to be my blip! :-))
