I'm on my first trip since the COVID pandemic.

I flew for the first time in 2 years today to get to London this evening, where I was at the first large work event I've been at in 2 years.  These things are all photo worthy, but the real faff of the day has been getting a boarding pass for tomorrow's flight to the US...

I had to do a COVID test while supervised on Zoom.  Of course the Zoom link they sent me didn't work leading to faff.  Results submitted (after filling in a huge form), the certificate arrived this evening, so I then had to use the VeriFly app to prove to BA I had all the required documentation.

However, VeriFly doesn't recognise NHS Scotland certificates, nor does the supervised test certificate have a QR code.  So I had to input a bunch of information for manual verification.  Then I had to fill in a bunch more personal information for contact tracing and an "attestation" for the US authorities.  Then wait for manual verification.

Even once that was all done BA still wouldn't let me check in - it seems like there's a delay between VeriFly and BA.

However, it worked in the end, and now I'm checked in.

Hopefully that means tomorrow will go smoothly.

Wish me luck...
