I like to record the changing agricultural seasons as I go on a track past the distant house.  It is an easy walk from home, partly along quiet roads and tracks beside fields and woods.  Usually there are good views towards Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh and across the Forth and often the distant mountains to the north can be seen but today it was too misty to see far.  However the lack of views were compensated by the sounds of the birds singing in the sunshine and woodpeckers drumming in the woods and pheasants calling in the fields.   The sight of these snowdrops and daffodils are a reminder that winter is rapidly giving way to spring although temperatures today were a reminder of summer, yet next week apparently it will be more like winter.
