Ready to roll

It's been a long time since I gave blood. First my iron levels were too low, then I was concussed, and I've had to cancel the occasional appointment because of sniffle or cold.

Today everything lined up. I was well prepped with food and hydration, and it was easy. I'm just tired now which is normal.

Here I've just had my details and iron levels checked. The computer is updated and then it's a short wait before I'm hooked up to donate. They're a well oiled machine.

I share Dad's blood type. I once tried to count how many blood transfusions he had and couldn't. Hopefully mines all good and it can help someone else.
