They Came to Bid Farewell

Together with hundreds of others, including the Red Arrows, we gathered beside (and over) RAF Leeming to bid farewell to 100 Squadron of the RAF who have been disbanded. 

After the Red Arrows made their flypast with the squadron sitting at the end of the runway, the squadron took off three abreast for a final airborne gathering which ended with their own flypast over the base. RAF Leeming will now only have a training unit left flying out of the base. 

The Hawk with the red tail (XX221) is destined for the RAF Aerobatic Team and will be painted fully red.
