Ali from the garage had lost my contact details so I got a message from Cam of the cafe that my car was fixed.

Took a stroll down the hill in the Spring sunshine, past the memorial to the local boy made good, and Ali told me he’d got the parts off eBay as Mitsubishi aren’t making them anymore and that he wouldn’t have the bill ready for a week or so but it would be significantly less than I thought.

Celebrated with a coffee and a scone in the cafe before bringing myself back down to Earth with a supermarket sweep.

On the plus side, it’s Tuna Steaks for tea.
