The Tiller
What lovely lovely weather. Quite took me back two years to when covid was kicking off, and we’d great weather for weeks. Back from Glasgow in the bus and I set to, varnishing some boat parts and painting the log store roof.
Meanwhile over in the Ukraine, 27 days in, things haven’t all gone Putin’s way, by all accounts. Well, not “all accounts,” more the accounts we’re hearing from. The Russian offensive on Kiev seems stalled, but fighting in Mariupol on the Sea of Azov, seems to be pretty fierce, leaving a wasteland despite tens of thousands of civilians still being in the city. The dilemma of course is that by providing weapons the west is only drawing out the agony. Unless of course, the loathsome Putin really could come unstuck. Volodymyr Zelensky may just be the man to do it.
