Remembrance
Today marks one month since Russia invaded Ukraine. These flowers are in remembrance of Ukraine, the lives lost, the millions of people displaced, and too many innocent animals killed or homeless. We must remain steadfast and unified in our strategic response • On March 9th it was announced British Explorer Ernest Shackleton’s ship the “Endurance” that sunk in 1915 was discovered in the Antarctic. It was exciting news but because of Ukraine I don’t think it received the attention it normally would have • Years ago we watched a TV mini-series starring Kenneth Branagh, as well as a documentary narrated by Liam Neeson titled “The Endurance” and were moved by the crew’s bravery and amazing survival • Years later I read a book highlighting Shackleton’s leadership abilities. These same skills that ensured his crew’s survival of horrendous conditions can also be applied to modern day organizations. It’s a fascinating read if interested • I see similarities between Sir Shackleton and President Zelensky…how about you? • Peace & Love
