On the rise

I decided to don my Domestic Goddess apron this morning and bake a cake. I rather let the side down by abandoning the Bero cookbook for Mary Berry's Victoria sponge cake.

Mum likes buttercream in hers. I had a jar of strawberry and elderflower jam, so I sandwiched one half with Jam and the other with the icing. Delicious.

Jenny and Dennis came this afternoon. Dennis loved the photo book on Islay I’d put out for him to see.

Do we know anyone who has not had/has Covid except us? I feel a certain inevitably about it.

President Biden says he will respond in kind if Russia, aka Putin, releases chemical weapons. Is that what we want? It’s a horrifying thought.
