The moors

This image is from one of my favourite locations in the world - the Pentland Road that runs between Stornoway and Carloway. I always stop in a passing place to admire the view - winter or summer, good weather or bad it's always breath-taking and virtually impossible to capture on camera...

I jotted down in my shooting journal (a record of the places i've been and images i've taken there) - "peace, solitude, silence"
