Back home
Yesterday was a bit busy, hence a return to a boring old marina shot!
We had to pack up and leave our lovely little holiday home and return to normal.
It wasn't hard, the day broke and the dog licked my hand to tell me she had an urgent need. I let her out into murky morning light and gently falling rain. The rain continued as we toasted the last of the bread for breakfast and I packed the back of the hired car trying to make the dog cage more stable, By 09:30 we were away and heading into low cloud and more rain over the North York Moors, no views today [The sun has gone away!]
The journey was, thankfully, uneventful and by lunchtime we were back home and everything was in order. The hire car was returned and I made soup for lunch from vegetables neglected for a week in the veg box.
After lunch our very good friend Paul took Roo to the body shop to collect our courtesy car [Our poorly car won't be ready until next week :-( ] and I gave the dog, and myself, some exercise. We trod old paths for an hour or so, down to the canal marina.
If you didn't come home it wouldn't be a holiday, eh?
