Scoping the empirical study
Today Hazel has worked on prep for the academic element of the project. This will involve interviewing a selection of blippers twice: (1) about their engagement with the LornaL Blipfoto journal, and (2) about their engagement with the podcast version of the war diary. We're labelling these as 'before' and 'after' interviews.
The first set of interviews will take place in April and early May, i.e. before the launch of the podcast series on Tuesday May 24th. The 'after' interviews will be scheduled for late May and June - just as soon as our blipper project participants have had the chance to 'consume' the war diary in its new format.
The sheet of paper blipped here shows our thoughts for possible discussion themes in the 'before' interviews. The grid was devised by Hazel with the help of our PhD student Marianne, who is currently working on a project on podcasts and archiving that runs in parallel with P2P. We ran these ideas past a couple of blippers this afternoon to help with the scoping of this element of our project.
