Ball - Staithes

Re-visiting old childhood haunts today we visited Staithes. From the car park you descend violently to the picturesque harbour and the 'Cod & Lobster' pub. Since I was a child the sea defences have been beefed up and now the harbour is very secure, but the cliffs still fall!

Later, at Runswick bay, the sun came out! And the dog took too much interest in the rotting carcase of a porpoise.
