Cuddling up to mum

The field near me is home to sheep and their lambs, there are very many fewer than usual. They’re great entertainment and sometimes humans have to wait their turn to watch at the various vantage points.
The ewes like the gates for a good old scratch but this little family has taken advantage of a rare shady spot and seem unconcerned that I’m watching them. Mum was breathing hard to dissipate the heat but her lamb was snuggled in tight to her side.
