Evans cherries
We had an excellent market this morning, with the sunshine bringing out the crowds!
Then a lovely lunch at Levens Hall (again!) and the dogs had a swim in the river to cool off.
Back home, I decided to get my precious cherries planted. Helen gave me a hand with the hose, as the ground is rather dry. So, four of them are planted and buds just beginning to open. The others will stay in pots this year I think, and see how they all do. I wonder how old they need to be to flower? This will be their fourth year, so maybe next year??
