Curvy wall

... below Sheffield Pike.
Didn't see a soul today taking an even quieter route than last week.
Watched ravens attack a buzzard. And watched the strange effect of leaves dried by the persistent dry cold winds all falling upwards as the wind funnelled along Ullswater and up Glencoyne. One kept soaring so high I thought it must be a bird but it wasn't.

Dogfight in the sky
Ravens mob. A buzzard cries.
Life can be brutal.

Autumn is over
And winter has done its thing
All the leaves fly up.

And time marches on
The seasons mark the distance
Between me and you.

A hateful cycle
Leaving little choice but to
Keep moving onwards.

Sun in Glencoyne
Pouring with rain on Sheffield
Typical Lakeland.

Knee aching descent
Trudging a relentless path
And back to the world.
