Suddenly there seem to be fields full of lambs and while walking along a track we noticed a little lamb that had managed to escape from its field.  S managed to lift it up and put it over the fence whereupon the anxious ewe gave it a very good sniff before she allowed it to feed.  Shortly afterwards the farmer who was coming to give them food supplements said they were two weeks old and very mischievous and the lambs were certainly very frisky and full of the joys of spring.  The lambs were not the only ones that wanted a drink in the unseasonal warm sunshine which should continue till Sunday before the return to cold weather.
