A surprise reunion

We drove to Manhattan Beach this afternoon to meet up with Elinor’s best friend from Calgary. Their family had come to California for a few days’ holiday in San Diego and drove to LA to meet us on the beach. We had not told Elinor nor Charley. Witnessing the shock and joy expressed on their faces as they met on the beach seeing each other for the first time in 8 months was priceless.
