Our garden, or yours

I have spent much of today in the garden, cutting the lawns (the easy bit) and then pruning the winter jasmine. That took a lot longer than I expected - truth is I have only trimmed it in the past, so there was a lot of bare wood under the green surface. To get it all in the green bin I had to cut it into manageable pieces. The weight of the thing had also pulled the trellis off the wall, so that needed fixing properly. I hope what’s left grows plenty of green shoots after today’s severe haircut.

My extended presence caused some consternation amongst the other inhabitants of the garden.
