Ponta de Pargo

I haven’t been to the most westerly point of Madeira for years. 

There’s a lighthouse, a couple of restaurants, and a complete network of new roads to support the planned third golf course for the island. Will it ever be built ? This week I’ve heard that it’s definitely going ahead, and I’ve also heard laughter at the very idea !!

It’s a magnificent location and I recommend a visit.

My extras are of the better known, and infinitely more touristy, Cabo Girao. The second shot is an overhead view of the Fajas des Padres, the cultivated area at the foot of the incredibly high cliff.
