Stealth Bomber
The cute little bee-fly is a fluffy fly that mimics the bee and is only interested in finding nectar, mating and laying eggs. No stings attached.
However there is a dark side. The female 'carpet bombs' her eggs with a flick from her spine at the nest of solitary bees or wasps (sometimes other insects). The hatched bee-flies have false legs which burrow into the nest and eat the pollen meant for the bee babies. They then go through a metamorphosis and eat the bee grubs.
Gruesome world of survival.
