Marked progress

548 pages read; 838 pages to go . . . not counting two library books I've started. One is very promising. It is a first novel by a teacher, Jennifer Saint, whose lifelong fascination with ancient Greek mythology informs her story Ariadne.

     I've spent most of the day reading and then a walk round the neighbourhood with Kathy. Left it too late to walk by the river or 'lake'.
