JG Ballard

After blipping the lovely view at Portobello beach here in Edinburgh this morning I opened it up and thought "JG Ballard."

The author famous for "Empire of the Sun" as well as his dystopian works of fiction died last week and over the years I've enjoyed most of his writing immensely.

In my mind a lot of his worlds featured beautiful, sunny vistas but just underneath the surface something was terribly wrong...
