Mother's day

Maria has been sorting through old family  photos.   

This is a picture of Pete, Maria and their mother, Frances.  Frances was so very young when she died, only 49.  
There are not that many photos of them all together like this, as on moving house one time, Peter's grandmother mistakenly  threw away a box of photos that were to be kept, and  instead retained a box of duff ones.
Pete reckons he was about 15 years old in this.  
It makes me smile seeing him with his slicked back bouffant hair, looking like a dude.
