Mothers' Day Flowers

We took a quick trip across from Edinburgh to let me have a wee visit to my mum on the way home. It's Mothering Sunday tomorrow and seemed a good time to visit. She was awake today and the brightest I've seen her for many months. She enjoyed the perfume of these lovely freesias. Leaving her is always such a wrench as I'm acutely aware of the progress of her dementia and her advanced years. But a hug and kiss was met with a "that's good", a happy moment to take away from the visit.
