Birthday cake

Today is my birthday, hence making yesterday's cake.  It's been a relaxing day.  The number is scary.  Covid seems to have distorted time.  A fellow dog walker described this time as the pages of a book stuck together.  A graphic comparison.

It's a marble cake made in a kugelhopf tin.  Raisins soaked in alcohol as and orange zest in the vanilla part and cocoa powder mixed with rum and dark chocolate pieces in the chocolate part. Spoiling myself and OH. ;-)

OH gave me So They Call You Pisher - A Memoir by Michael Rosen which I'm looking forward to reading.
